Wellbeing for Digital Resilience

Supporting the safety of our learners online is a priority for all staff at Ringland. We value the importance of ensuring that our learners are immersed in activities that allow them to grasp what it takes to be a safe, supportive digital citizen.

As part of this work, staff deliver online safety lessons as part of the curriculum and take an active part in promoting Internet Safety Day each year.

Sessions on digital resilience and online safety start as early as Reception, where the children talk about being safe online, through to Year 6 where topics such as Cyberbullying (abusive messages, unwanted content and impersonation of another) and Inappropriate use of Social Media.

41% of 7-11 year olds have reported that they have witnessed Cyberbullying in the UK.
